Contributors' Bios Cathryn Braswell - Cathryn Braswell is a sophmore at Cedarville University. She is currently enrolled in an Advanced Composition class where her professor encourages essay writing and attempted publication of their pieces. She hopes to graduate in 2008 and go on to do many things with her English major. Andy Martello - Andy Martello is a professional comedian & variety performer living in the Chicago area. Aside from his duties as an entertainer, Andy is a freelance humor writer working on his first book. His works have been featured at The Cheers, Gapers Block, Malicious Bitch, and Absolute Write. He is always honored to be included within the pages of the respected River Walk Journal and he hopes his works don't "dumb down" the high quality of writing found here. Casey Clabough - Casey Clabough is a literary scholar and college professor whose writing has evolved gradually from specific abstract intellectual topics toward more general nonfiction. His scholarly books from university presses include Elements: The Novels of James Dickey, Experimentation and Versatility: The Early Novels and Short Fiction of Fred Chappell, and Liberating Voice: The Art of Gayl Jones (Forthcoming). With work forthcoming in quarterlies such as The Sewanee Review and Virginia Quarterly Review, Clabough now finds his writing moving progressively in the direction of accessible general nonfiction. Dale Purvis - Dale Cross Purvis teaches literature and writing at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. This is her first published creative work; she sincerely hopes that it will not be her last. Lita Sorensen - Lita Sorensen's poetry has been published in various online and print journals, including The Cortland Review, and Poetry Midwest. A selection, "Quarto, with Crows," will also be be included in an upcoming anthology, Beat the Blackened Wing: An Anthology of Crows. In addition, she has published three books of nonfiction (available on Amazon.com) for young adults for Rosen Press in New York City. Lita holds a Master's Degree in Creative Writing, and lives in Iowa City, IA. B.K. Birch Mary Hudock Ruth Mark - Ruth Mark is a licensed psychologist, poet and editor. She’s Irish but currently lives in The Netherlands where she teaches undergraduates about the workings of the brain. Her work has been published in diverse print and web venues. More details can be found at www.remark.be. Linda Gallant Potts - Linda Gallant Potts is an author and former teacher from Ontario, Canada. Her non-fiction writing has been featured in major newspapers such as The Toronto Star and Canada’s national newspaper, The Globe and Mail. In addition, her poetry, short stories, personal essays and children’s stories have been published at kotapress, The Sidewalk’s End, Animal Antics, River Walk Journal, and Moondance: Celebrating Creative Women. Lance Garrison Ballard Terri L. Knight - Terri has a BA Psychology from BGSU/Paralegal Certificate. Terri has a dozen or so short stories/essays published in literary magazines and on line. She won an essay contest published in newspaper, The News Herald. It was in honor of the 9/11 victims. She's a member of Writer’s Groups including Writer's Association and Writers and Critters. Terri is writing several short stories and her first Novel, "Nicole." Leslie Wolter - Leslie Wolter is Co-Director of the Writing Resource Center and an English Instructor at McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois. She has published in LitBits, Ascent Aspirations, and a soon-to-be released anthology entitled Teaching with Joy.
