Craig Crawford provides readers with an easy-to-understand manual for dealing with everyday issues through politics. The Politics of Life is an invaluable resource for anyone who wants to successfully navigate through the various “storms” of business and social life. Well-organized, this book offers specific examples of successful behaviors based on distant and recent history. It is not difficult to pick and choose topics as testy situations arise, although it is suggested by this reviewer that the book be read cover to cover as opposed to serving as an “as needed” reference. Beyond obvious uses in business and political science classrooms, this book would be good for psychology, sociology, and women’s studies classrooms – instructors in general should find this book useful in dealing with administrators, colleagues, parents and students.
